Mites is the story of an accomplished scientist, Andrew Nichols, who joins a small and struggling technology firm that is developing micro-robots for use in humans. Dr. Nichols soon uncovers mysterious activities around the company; and slowly he and a couple trusted staff members (Elisabeth, a young and brilliant researcher, and H.J., a rehabilitated computer hacker) unravel the mystery. Also on the hunt is DEA agent Chris O'Toole. Soon, Nichols and O'Toole come together and discover not only the development of a new, designer drug secretly made at the company but also a merciless micro-bot that is capable of killing -- instantly.
